With it being snowmageddon here in Portland, the cold and dry weather tends to leave me skin and lips feeling a bit lacking in the moisture department. Over the past week I have been putting the eraclea, simply-perfect hand cream and the eraclea, ever-moist lip balm to the test. So, let me tell you about these two products that were sent my way for review.
eraclea, simply perfect hand cream
From the Company: This rich cream, with its ultra-hydrating blend of ingredients, moisturizes and nourishes the hands. Enriched with HylaFusion® and infused with lipids and vitamins it continues to hydrate for up to 8 hours, soothing even the driest hands on contact. It leaves your hands feeling soft, smooth and hydrated. It is quickly absorbed with no greasy residue.
Ingrediants: Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) seed oil, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Peg-100 Stearate, Hyaluronic acid, Glycosaminoglycans, Hydrolyzed silk, Ceramide-3/Milk lipids, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) butter, Tocopheryl acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, Ascorbic acid, Allantoin, Panthenol, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) peel oil, Citrus Grandis (grapefruit) peel oil, Carbomer, Tetrasodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Triethanolamine
My Thoughts: When I first opened the eraclea simply perfect, hand cream, I honestly thought it smelled a little funny. I thought it smelled kind of like play-dough (yeah, I have kids), but it actually was suppose to smell like oranges. I honestly didn’t gather that it was suppose to smell like that until I read the ingrediant list and saw the orange peel. So, for me, this wasn’t the best smelling thing although the smell wasn’t super strong. As far as the moisturizing aspect of it, it did feel great on my skin when I first applied it and it lasted a long time. I also like that it didn’t leave a greasy residue as they stated. Greasy hands is definitely no bueno for me.

My Thoughts: As you can see, this eraclea ever-moist, lip balm definitely agreed with my lips. On contact it made my super chapped lips come back to life almost immediately. I also loved that is had a creamsicle smell to it that was amazing and took me back to my summer days of chasing down the icecream man as kid. Side note, I will never let me kids chase down the icecream man ever…does that make me a mean mom? Anyways, I love that this has anti-oxidants in it as well as the shea butter and jojoba. I really can’t brag about this enough, it’s truly a great lip balm if you are on the hunt.
